Are you concerned about the level of anger and divisiveness in our current political climate? Would you like to be able to communicate with family, friends and co-workers on the other side of the political spectrum? Come join our workshop that will explore the psychological and cultural influences that prevent us from being able to have reasoned and effective conversations. This workshop will be based on Jonathon Haidt’s book, ‘The Righteous Mind’ and will explore his theory of the differences between the conservative and liberal response to 5 moral categories. Reading the book is not necessary; we will discuss his basic ideas and then use them as a starting point for a constructive dialogue.
