KEATING: CAPE NAT’L SEASHORE ADVISORY COMMISSION REINSTATED
Washington, DC – Congressman Keating is pleased to announce that the Cape Cod National Seashore Advisory Commission has been reinstated. This comes after an extensive lobbying effort by the Congressman and his staff in the form of a letter, calls and meetings. Attached to this release is a copy of the letter, dated May 12, 2017, to Department of the Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke.
“The National Seashore Advisory Commission is an essential component of community engagement,” said Congressman Keating. “Representatives from Chatham to Provincetown assist in resolving issues affecting the Seashore at the local level, saving time and money. It also ensures that Cape residents have a seat at the table when discussing Seashore issues and initiatives. The commitment to community inclusion by the Cape Cod National Seashore has proven to be an effective means for the National Parks Service to think locally, and be a better neighbor to residents across the outer Cape.”
